A few of everything, in one place.
Homesteads break most farm software, because most farm software assumes you do one thing at scale. You've got twenty chickens, a milk cow, two goats, a garden that matters, and a tractor that's older than you are.
Switch off what you don't run
This is the part that matters most for a small place. Seven modules toggle off in Settings → Modules, and when they're off they leave the sidebar entirely — not greyed out, not empty, gone.
No equipment maintenance log if the tractor is the only machine. No finance ledger if you're not selling anything. No pasture rotation if the birds live in a run. What's left is a short sidebar with only your actual life on it, which is the difference between software you open every morning and software you abandon in March.
Every species you keep, on its own terms
Cattle, horses, goats, sheep, pigs, chickens and rabbits — each with its own breeds, classifications and gestation lengths, plus an "other" catch-all. The one milk cow gets the same individual record as a hundred-head herd would: birth date, breed, health history, who her calf was.
And the birds don't have to be tracked one by one if that's not how you think about them. Chickens have an incubation setting like everything else has gestation, but for most homesteads the flock is a group and the eggs are the record that counts.
Eggs, milk and honey, priced as you go
Define your own production types with a unit and a per-unit value — eggs by the dozen, milk by the gallon, honey by the pound — and log them daily. Every entry is priced automatically.
After a year that answers a question most homesteads can only guess at: what the place actually produced, and roughly what it was worth. Not to file with anyone — just to know.
The chores that repeat, repeating themselves
- 🔁Recurring tasks — gather eggs, milk, check water — respawning the moment you tick them off.
- 📓A daily log for the things that don't fit a form, in whoever's words wrote it.
- 🌽Feed on reorder points, so the run doesn't happen on a Sunday.
- 🥕The garden from planting to the yield you actually got.
- ☀️Local weather from a ZIP code — no API keys, no accounts to wire up.
