Rotate on rest, not on guesswork.

Set a rest period, get a countdown

Every pasture gets a rest period — 30, 45, 60 or 90 days from the presets, or whatever number your ground actually needs. Log a "graze today" when the herd goes in, and from that moment the paddock counts down. Open the pastures page and you see the only two things that matter: what's ready, and how many days until the rest is.

Ready pastures come find you

A countdown you have to remember to check isn't much better than a note on the fridge. When a pasture comes ready it surfaces in the dashboard's Attention Needed feed alongside overdue tasks and low stock — so the day you could move the herd is a day you'll actually notice.

Moving the herd is one action

Animals belong to herds and flocks, and groups move together. Sending the main cow herd from Creek Bottom to East Meadow updates every animal's location at once and logs the graze against the paddock they left. That's the whole reason the records stay true: keeping them accurate takes less effort than letting them drift.

Switch it off if you don't rotate

Pastures is one of the seven optional modules. If you're dry-lot or you don't move stock, turn it off in Settings → Modules and it leaves the sidebar entirely — no empty page sitting there reminding you of a system you don't run.
