Delete your account

Applies to the Land & Herd app for iOS and Android, and to app.landandherd.com

You can delete your Land & Herd account yourself, at any time, without contacting us. Deletion is immediate and permanent — there is no recovery period.

From the mobile app

1. Open the Land & Herd app and sign in.
2. On the dashboard, tap the ⇄ ranch menu button in the top right.
3. Tap Account, privacy & terms.
4. Under Delete account, tap Delete my account.
5. Enter your password and confirm. Your account is deleted and you are signed out.

From a web browser

1. Sign in at app.landandherd.com.
2. Go to Settings → Account.
3. Choose Delete my account, enter your password, type DELETE, and confirm.

By email

If you can no longer sign in, email [email protected] from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We verify ownership and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

• your profile — name, email address, and password hash;
• every sign-in session and mobile device token;
• the daily log entries and AI assistant conversations you authored;
• your membership of every operation;
• any operation where you were the last remaining member, together with everything in it: animals, breeding and health records, tasks, production, inventory, pastures, crops, equipment, and finances.

What is kept, and for how long

• Operations with other members continue to exist for those members. Records you created there stay with the operation, but your name is unlinked from them and your personal data is removed.
• Encrypted backups may retain a copy for up to 30 days before rolling off. Backups are not used to restore deleted accounts.
• Server logs containing IP addresses are retained for up to 30 days for security purposes.
• Records we are legally required to keep (for example, financial records related to a paid subscription, where applicable) are retained for the period the law requires.

Deleting data without deleting your account

You can delete individual records — animals, tasks, log entries, and so on — from within the app at any time, and leave a shared operation without closing your account. To request a copy of your data or a correction, email [email protected].
